Booking Terms

We offer the best prices when you book directly with us, please visit our website at www.northcliffhotel.co.uk or if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01598 75 23 57.

 

Please note, some third-party booking sites, such as Booking.com, pre-authorise a guest’s card at the time of the booking. We do not take this payment until check-out, however if the booking is made using a credit card, your credit limit may be reduced by the amount of the booking. If your reservation is made using a debit card, Booking.com will take the payment from your linked bank account 14 days before the reservation as this is the point at which the reservation can no longer be cancelled without the full amount of the booking being payable. We do not have any control over the third-party booking sites pre-authorisation procedures.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION & DEPOSITS

All reservations are confirmed via email and have a unique booking reference. Direct bookings offer the best price with just a £50 deposit and the balance is not due until the time of your stay. Any time up to 14 days before your booking all cancellations are free and for direct bookings all deposits are fully refundable.   


Within 14 days of your reservation date, whether booked direct or through a third-party site such as Booking.com, deposits are non-refundable and 100% of the booking amount is payable.

CANCELLATION

Guests can cancel bookings at any time up to 14 days prior to the date of arrival and all deposits will be refunded. Unfortunately, bookings cancelled after this time will be charged for the full amount of the stay. If you book directly with us, please make any changes via our website, or alternatively email or call us.

For all bookings made with third-party booking sites, guests will have to make any changes or cancellations directly with them, we are unable to do this for you.

PETS

Dogs are very welcome at The North Cliff Hotel, however, to cover additional cleaning costs we do make a charge of £10 per night for the first dog and £5 per night for the second. If required, a dog bed and water bowl placed on a plastic mat can be provided in the room free of charge.

 

Please note that dogs are not permitted on any beds or furniture and at no time are they to be left unattended in the hotel. Should any bedding or furniture be damaged or need replacing, a reasonable charge will be made.


The whole hotel is dog friendly so your dog is welcome to join you at mealtimes, we just ask that dogs are kept on a lead at all times in the communal areas of the building.

SAFETY PROCEDURE

All bedrooms have a fire routine notice and a floor plan showing your escape route. Upon check-in guests should take note of this and familiarise themselves with the nearest fire exits.

SMOKING

It is prohibited for guests to smoke in any rooms within the hotel, this includes vaping. Please note, our smoke alarms are very sensitive and will go off very easily. We do however allow guests to smoke outside on the terrace.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is included in the price of our B&B rooms and is served in our dining and breakfast rooms daily from 8:30am – 9:30am.

 

Guests staying with us in our self-catering penthouse can join us for breakfast for a cost of £15 per adult and £8.50 per child aged 10 and under. Please note, we need to be advised by the night before.

TOWELS

For stays of 7 nights or less we ask that you help us be environmentally friendly by using the same towels for the duration of your stay. 

 

Should you require any towel changes sooner than 7 days, there is a supplementary charge of £1.50 for a hand towel and £2.50 for a bath towel each time that you request they are changed.


We respectfully ask that towels are not used for pets please.

DAILY ROOM CHECKS

In our B&B rooms (not the self-catering apartment) the tea trays and toiletries are replenished daily as needed.

PAYMENTS

All outstanding monies are to be settled upon departure. Please note check-out is by 10:30am, however if you wish to depart before 9:30am please settle your account the night before.

 

Payment can be made with cash, Visa or Mastercard, unfortunately we do not accept American Express.

SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Please let us know if you have chosen to spend a special occasion with us.


With sufficient notice we can arrange extras for the room, such as champagne, flowers, chocolates, balloons - just let us know your preferences and budget and we will do the rest!
